TabloidNova.com - Setelah keriaan Golden Globe Award berlalu, kini giliran Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) mengumumkan nominasi Academy Award ke-87. Nominasi Piala Oscar kali ini diborong oleh film The Grand Budapest Hotel dan Birdman, yang sama-sama mendapatkan 9 nominasi termasuk kategori Film Terbaik.
Beberapa pemain senior seperti Meryl Streep (Into the Woods), Julianne Moor (Still Alice), Robert Duvall (The Judge), dan Michael Keaton (Birdman), membuktikan bahwa mereka memang layak dinominasikan sesuai yang sudah diperkirakan.
Namun ada pula nama-nama yang sudah lama dijagokan tapi gagal masuk nominasi, seperti Jennifer Aniston (Cake), Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler), Amy Adams (Big Eyes), juga sutradara Clint Eastwood (American Sniper).
Di luar itu, banyak sekali kejutan di daftar nominasi Piala Oscar 2015. Ini ditandai dengan hadirnya pemain-pemain muda atau yang tak diunggulkan dalam daftar nominasi. Antara lain Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Ethan Hawke (Boyhood), dan Emma Stone (Birdman).
